active participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving, which can promote a deeper understanding of grammar rules and their practical application. through a review of relevant literature and empirical studies, this paper examines the benefits of the student-centered approach and provides practical recommendations for educators to implement this approach in language teaching. up to present condition of language instruction the predominant method of language education was traditional method, namely the grammar-translation. as a student i was taught via gtm and teacher centered way, i obviously feel challenges and drawbacks in this way along with advantages. textbooks mainly consisted of lists of vocabulary and rule explanations and while learning students got engaged in translation activities where little oral proficiency would result from the language teaching process. i have been teaching english to university students who are future english teaching specialists and have different language foundation knowledge, skills and motivation with mixed abilities. it …
