m education in uzbekistan academic lyceums in uzbekistan play a crucial role in preparing students for higher education and equipping them with the necessary skills to succeed in various academic fields. these institutions, which typically offer three-year programs following the completion of compulsory secondary education, are designed to provide students with a more in-depth and specialized curriculum than general secondary schools. lyceums often focus on particular areas such as natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, or foreign languages, and aim to foster intellectual development, critical thinking, and communication skills.[3;75] the foundation of academic lyceums in uzbekistan was laid during the educational reforms that followed the country’s independence in 1991. the government recognized the need for a more modern, flexible, and advanced system that could produce highly qualified specialists and future university students. as a result, academic lyceums were established as a bridge between general secondary education and higher education. they function …
