some people argue that parents of children who break the law should be punished in some way, because they are responsible for their children’s actions. some believe that parents should be held accountable when their children commit crimes, as they are responsible for their upbringing. while i agree that parental influence is important, i think punishing parents is not always fair. parents have a major role in teaching children right from wrong. poor parenting, such as lack of supervision or setting a bad example, can lead to bad behavior. in such cases, it is understandable that parents should face some consequences to encourage better care. however, not all cases are the parents' fault. teenagers, for example, can make their own …
